Jacqueline Simonovich Delivers Opening Remarks at the Bar Association of San Francisco’s 42nd Annual Judges Reception
BenSim Law is proud to share that Founding Partner Jacqueline Simonovich delivered the opening remarks at the 42nd Annual Judges Reception, hosted by the Barristers Club of the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) on June 11, 2026.
As President of the BASF Barristers Board, Jackie welcomed judges, attorneys, law students, and legal professionals from across the Bay Area to one of San Francisco’s longest-standing legal networking traditions. In her remarks, Jackie reflected on the important role BASF has played throughout her legal career. She shared how the relationships, mentorship, leadership opportunities, and professional development she found through the organization helped shape her path as a lawyer and ultimately contributed to the founding of BenSim Law. She also recognized BenSim Law’s continued involvement in BASF leadership, with Founding Partner Kevin Benedicto currently serving as President-Elect of the BASF Barristers Board.
The evening honored the Honorable Rita F. Lin of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California with the Tara L. Riedley Barristers Choice Award. Judge Lin delivered inspiring remarks on the importance of mentoring young lawyers and supporting the next generation of the profession. Throughout her distinguished career, Judge Lin has broken barriers and made history, including becoming the first Chinese American woman to serve as a federal district judge in the Northern District of California. Her reflections on leadership, perseverance, and mentorship resonated with attorneys at every stage of their careers.
BenSim Law also recognizes the outstanding work of this year’s Judges Reception Co-Chairs, Grace Davis Fisher and Margo Crawford, whose leadership helped make the event a success. Their efforts continued the Judges Reception’s longstanding tradition of bringing together members of the bench and bar while fostering mentorship and professional growth within the legal community.
For more than four decades, the Judges Reception has provided a unique opportunity for attorneys and law students to connect with members of the judiciary while supporting the Barristers Club’s mission of developing future leaders in the profession.
