Benedicto & Simonovich LLP is proud to announce that both of its founding partners — Kevin Benedicto and Jacqueline Simonovich — have been named to the 2026 Super Lawyers Northern California Rising Stars list.
For Kevin, this marks his third consecutive selection. For Jackie, it is her fourth consecutive year on the list. That both founding partners have earned this recognition — independently, through a rigorous peer evaluation process — reflects the standard of excellence the firm was built on.
About the Rising Stars Designation
The Super Lawyers Rising Stars list is among the most competitive peer-recognition distinctions in the legal profession. Selection is limited to the top 2.5% of eligible attorneys in each state — those who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been in practice for ten years or less.
Selection cannot be purchased or applied for. It results from a patented multi-phase process combining peer nominations from attorneys who have observed the candidate in practice, independent research evaluating twelve indicators of professional achievement, and blue ribbon panel review by top-ranked practitioners within the same practice area. Each candidate must also be in good standing with their state bar and attest to the absence of any disciplinary or criminal proceedings.
Kevin Benedicto
Kevin is a founding partner whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and AI counseling. He represents clients navigating complex and fast-moving disputes, with a particular emphasis on matters involving emerging technologies and artificial intelligence. Kevin also brings extensive experience in internal and external investigations.
Beyond his litigation practice, Kevin serves as a member of the San Francisco Police Commission, the civilian oversight body of the SFPD, and has a long record of pro bono work in voting rights and law enforcement reform. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area and is President-Elect of the Barrister Club of the Barr Association of San Francisco.
Kevin has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in each year since his first selection, reflecting consistent peer recognition across consecutive evaluation cycles.
Jacqueline Simonovich
Jackie is a founding partner and experienced commercial litigator who represents businesses and individuals in complex disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, fraud, fiduciary duty claims, constitutional issues, and defamation. She has significant first-chair jury trial experience in both California state and federal courts, and has appeared before domestic and international arbitration tribunals, including the International Centre for Dispute Resolution and the International Chamber of Commerce.
Jackie brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to high-stakes litigation, guiding clients from pre-suit strategy through trial and resolution. Before co-founding BenSim Law, she practiced at leading Big Law and mid-sized firms throughout California.
In addition to her litigation practice, Jackie serves as President of the Barristers Club of the Bar Association of San Francisco (2026), one of the largest voluntary bar associations in the state. She has received the BASF Barristers' Club Outstanding Diversity Advocate Award (2025), has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch (2024, 2025, 2026), and was named a San Francisco Business Times 40 Under 40 honoree in 2024.
